As a blogger, I get to meet all kinds of wonderful people while sitting in the comfort of my home, usually wearing my yoga pants and a tank top. It might appear that I am getting ready to exercise and I am… getting ready that is!
I don’t always make it to the DOING part of exercise because if you know me, you know that I don’t really like to exercise. I only do it because I know it makes me feel good afterward. But I digress…
How can blogging add value and help us to live a remarkable, enjoyable life?
I did a lot of searching and experimenting to find out what works best for me. With my background as a life coach, I knew that I wanted to share my ideas about living a remarkable life with other women.
A blog seemed like the perfect place for me to do it.
Blogging allows me to work from home and spend time doing the things that are important to me. It takes me about 5 seconds to commute to my desk on the other side of my home. I do always make sure to look both ways making sure there isn’t anything to trip over on the way 🙂Working from home as a blogger gives you FREEDOM. #motivation Click To Tweet
First, I almost always start my day on my balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean watching the sunrise. I take time in the morning to have meaningful conversation with Mr. Wonderful while drinking my protein shake and pondering the day.
I usually take a picture of the sunrise with my iPhone and post it on my Facebook page. This is one of my favorites below. I love how the sun is shining through the clouds and reflecting on the ocean below. I feel so fortunate to be able to experience a new and glorious sunrise each day.
So for me, working from home gives me FREEDOM!
What tips and ideas can you share to get us started?
When you start a blog, you are going to be spending a LOT of time writing and talking about your subject, so make sure it is one that you are really interested in. You don’t have to be an expert with all sorts of credentials or letters after your name.
All you need is to be an enthusiast about your topic. It’s ok to blog about something that excites you. Your enthusiasm will shine through and people will be attracted to your energy.
I believe you should spend your time doing things that make you say WOW!
The next thing you must do is learn from someone who has gone before you. There are so many things you need to know about setting up a blog properly. Find a good program or mastermind group where you can learn the tools of the trade.
Finally, be prepared to keep learning new things. You will never know all there is to blogging AND things are changing as fast as you learn them. Keep taking new courses as they interest you and only take a class or buy a product if you are planning to use it right away. You don’t want to leave it sitting on your computer unused and gathering virtual dust.
